2.Measure, turn up your hem and p_n.

NOTE: For light wmght fabrics, you may need a double fold.

3, Fold the material (wrong side out) on the edge to be stitched, as shown, leaving !/4" of the fimshed hem edge showing.

4.Place garment under presser foot in such a manner that straight stitches wiil be sewn on extended edge. The zigzag stitch should just catch the fold of the garment.

5.After hemming, press both sides of the finished hem. The top side of the garment will show oniy the blind stitches.

NOTE: The blind hem stttch also can be used for Lace Work. (See p. 28)
