About copying
★Copying can be performed easily from the set’s CD unit onto the

•SCMS INH: Digital recording is possible without this restriction even if the recording source contains a copy prohibit code, but in this case the copy prohobit code is written on the recorded disc. In addition, a copy prohibit code is writen on the recorded disc even if the recording source does not have a copy prohibit code.
•SCMC ENA: Inkeeping with SCMS, digital recording is not possible if the recording source contains a copy prohibit code.

1TR dubbing: In this mode, single tracks on CDs can be copied. (“1Tr Dubbing” is displayed.)

Scan REC dubbing: In this mode, the desired tracks can be selected from CDs and copied. (“Scan Rec Dub” is displayed.)
• The recording level is automatically set to the default value (0.0 dB).
• The repeat and random play modes are canceled when the copy mode is set.
• During normal speed copying you can listen to the sound as you copy.
• During high speed copying no sound is produced.
• No signals are output from the digital outputs during high speed copying.
• During copying, buttons other than the CD or
• When CD TEXT compatible CDs are copied, the disc names and track names are also copied.
★ When copying, switch the relay mode to the normal or dual mode. Copying is not possible in the relay or mix mode.

NOTES:
•Digital copying may not be possible due to SCMS restrictions if “SCMS ENA” is set at “Copy management” in the setup mode. In this case, copying is automatically performed at normal speed and using analog signals. (See page 6.)
•Analog signal copying is always performed in the normal speed mode.
•If when the copying mode is set the recordable time on the

• For some CDs, the text cannot be copied because of copyright protection. In this case “Text Protect” is displayed.
•Do not turn off the power or unplug the power cord while “Now PMA Rec” is displayed after recording is completed. Doing so may render the disc unusable.
