Chill the freezing canister in the freezer overnight (or at least for one hour).
Following your chosen recipe, mix ice cream ingredients together. For best results, chill the ice cream mixture in the refrigerator until cold.
Pour ice cream mixture into the freezing canister (fill no more than
⅔full, as mixture will expand during freezing).
Insert the dasher into the center of the freezing canister so that the end of the dasher nestles into the dimple at the center of the freezing canister.
