MÁQUINA AUTOMÁTIC A DE HACER HIELO

Después de que el refrigerador haya sido conectado al suministro de agua, mueva la manecilla de alambre hacia abajo a la posición (‘ON’). La máquina de hacer hielo se llenará con agua cuando el congelador alcance la temperatura correcta. Pueden transcurrir de 8 a 12 horas antes de que la máquina de hacer hielo produzca cubos de hielo usables.

Descarte todos los cubos de hielo producidos durante los primeros dos o tres lotes. Estos cubos de hielo iniciales pueden tener forma irregular, estar descoloridos o contener impurezas provenientes de la nueva tubería de suministro de agua.

Cuando los cubos de hielo son expulsados es normal que varios cubos salgan unidos. Se podrán separar fácilmente. La máquina de hacer hielo continuará haciendo hielo hasta que la cantidad de cubos de hielo producida levante la manecilla de alambre, apagando así la máquina.

Para detener manualmente el funcionamiento de la máquina de hacer hielo, mueva la manecilla de alambre hacia arriba a la posición (‘OFF’).

Se pueden oír ciertos ruidos cuando la máquina de hacer hielo pasa por los diferentes ciclo de la fabricación del hielo.

•zumbido de la válvula del agua

•circulación del agua a medida que se llena la bandeja

•ruido producido por los cubos de hielo al caer dentro del contenedor vacío.

Si el hielo no se usa con frecuencia, los cubos se opacarán, disminuirán de tamaño, se pegarán y adquirirán mal sabor. Vacíe el depósito de hielo periódicamente y lávelo con agua tibia. Enjuáguelo y séquelo bien.

DEPÓSITO DEL

HIELO

Para verificar el nivel del hielo o tener acceso al depósito del hielo, levante la puerta del depósito del hielo.

DESMONTAJE DEL DEPOSITO DEL HIELO:

•Apague la máquina de hacer hielo moviendo la manecilla de alambre hacia arriba a la posición ‘OFF’ (Apagado).

•Sosteniendo el borde superior del depósito del hielo con una mano, sujete el borde inferior del depósito con la otra mano y tire hacia abajo para soltar el pestillo, luego tire del depósito hacia afuera.

•Invierta el procedimiento para reinstalar el depósito del hielo.

•Ponga en funcionamiento la máquina de hacer hielo bajando la manecilla de alambre.

ADVERTENCIA

A fin de evitar una lesión personal o daños materiales, observe lo siguiente:

•No introduzca los dedos o la mano en el mecanismo automático de hacer hielo mientras el refrigerador esté enchufado. Esto le protegerá contra posibles lesiones y también evitará interferencia con las piezas móviles del mecanismo eyector y del calentador que expulsa los cubos.

•En raras ocasiones, los cubos de hielo pueden salir descoloridos, mostrando gen- eralmente un color azul verdoso. La causa de esta rara decoloración es una combi- nación de factores tales como ciertas car- acterísticas del agua local, la plomería de la casa y la acumulación de sales de cobre en la tubería inactiva de suministro de agua que abastece a la máquina de hacer hielo. El consumo continuo de los cubos descol- oridos puede ser nocivo para la salud. Si observa la mencionada descoloración, descarte los cubos de hielo y póngase en contacto con su Distribuidor para com- prar e instalar un filtro en la tubería del agua.

•El daño causado por agua debido a una conexión inapropiada del agua puede causar crecimiento de moho/mildiú.

•Limpie los derrames de agua y hielo para evitar una lesión personal y el crec- imiento de moho/mildiú.

Nota:

NO se deben colocar bebidas ni alimentos en el depósito del hielo para enfriarlos rápidamente. Estos artículos pueden bloquear la manecilla de alambre, afectando el funcionamiento de la máquina de hacer hielo.
