Changing the Direction of Opening the Door
If the direction of the door opening inconveniences you, it may be changed to the opposite side of the freezer were holes are already made (except on stainless steel towel bar models).
•Before changing the door the front side of the appliance must be slightly raised.
•If the screws are covered with caps take them off before undoing the screws.
•The lower hinge (2) can be removed by unscrewing the hinge and removing the nuts (8) from the appliance.
•Push the kick plate into its new position.
•Unscrew the upper hinge pin (1)
•Change the position of the pins (5) and the door bearings, (7) at the top and the bottom.
•Slip the door on the upper hinge pin (1).
•With the screws and nuts fix the lower hinge.
•Make sure the freezer is leveled so that it doesn’t fall.
•Unscrew the handle and place it on the opposite side of the appliance (it cannot be done with handles mounted horizontally).
•At last check the resting of the magnetic seals (the seal must not be creased and should seal well).
Use
Storing Fresh Foods
•Foods to be stored in the freezer should be properly packed as to prevent mixing various moisture degrees and odors (in polyethylene bags or sheet, aluminum foil and covered containers).
•Never store any inflammable, volatile or explosive substances.
•Food should not touch the rear wall of the freezer.
•Some organic solutions like volatile oils in lemon and orange peel, acid in butter etc. can cause damages when in contact with plastic surfaces or gaskets for a long period of time.
•An unpleasant odor inside the freezer is a sign that something is wrong with the food or that your freezer needs cleaning. Odors may be eliminated or reduced by washing the interior of the freezer with a mild solution of water and vinegar. We also recommend using activated carbon filters to clean the air or to neutralize odors.
