SETTING THE CONTROLS

When you first install your refrigerator, set the Refrigerator and Freezer Controls at the mid-setting(s). Give your refrigerator time to cool down completely before adding food. It is best to wait 24 hours before adding food.

IMPORTANT: If you add food before the refrigerator has cooled completely, your food may spoil. Turning the Refrigerator and Freezer controls to a higher than recom- mended setting will not cool the compartments any faster.

How the controls work

The refrigerator control adjusts both the refrigerator and freezer compart- ment temperatures. Settings 1 through 3 make the overall temperature in both compartments warmer. Settings 4 and 5 make the overall temperature in both compartments colder.

The freezer control divides the amount of cold air entering both compartments. The recommended setting is B, which divides the air equally between the two compart- ments. Setting A directs more cold air into the refrigerator compartment. Setting C directs more cold air into the freezer compartment.

ILe réglage du réfrigérateur ajuste les températures du réfrigérateur et du congélateur. Les réglages 1 jusqu’à 3 inclusivement rendent la température générale plus tiède dans les deux compartiments. Les réglages 4 et 5 rendent la température générale plus froide.
