Defrost ing and cleaning you r refrigerator

The freezer compartment In your refrigerator should

be defrosted whenever frost builds up to ‘/u-inch

(6 mm)

The entire refrigerator should be cleaned about once a month to help prevent odors from burldrng up. Of course, sp11l.sshould be wrped up right away

Defrosting the freezer compartment.. .

Move the Rur Switch to “OFF’

Remove food and Ice cube trays Wrap food In

newspaper and put in a cooler to keep frozen

Make sure tht- freezer troy damper IS in the ‘A’ posrtron

Place CI pan f hot water in the freezer comport-

ment to speed defrosting Leave door open

6 Empty defrost water from freezer tray [Pull out to stops, 11tIfront slightly, pull out the rest of the way)

9 Clean compartment and freezer tray with a solu-

tion of two tablespoons (26 g) of baking soda and one quart ( 95 I) of warm water Rinse well and dry

IO Replace food and Ice cube trays I' Move the Run Switch to RUN

CAUTION: Do not use any type of electric de- froster or sharp utensils (ice pick, knife, etc.]
