CleaningYourRefrigerator

Both the refrigerator and freezer sections defrost automatically. But both should be cleaned about once a month to help prevent odors from building up. Spills should be wiped up right away.

To clean your refrigerator, turn the Refrigerator Control to OFF, unplug it, take out all removable parts and clean the refrigerator according to the following directions.

HOW TO CLEAN

. Wash removable parts by hand.

lRinse and dry thoroughly.

l Wash outside of cabinet. Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners.

lRinse and dry thoroughly.

l Wax painted metal surfaces at least twice a year. Apply wax with a clean, soft cloth. Waxlng palnted metal surfaces pro- vldes rust proteotlon.

Do not wax Dlastlc Darts.

l Wash with mixture of warm wafer and

-mild detergent, or

-baking soda (2 tablespoons [26 g] to 1 quart [.95 L] of water).

DO NOT USE cleaning waxes, ooncen- trated detergents, bleaches or cleaners contalnlng petroleum on plastic parts.

DO NOT USE paper towels, wlndow sprays, scouring cleansers or flammable flulds. These can scratch or damage material. See ‘Important Safety Instruc- tlons” on page 3.

l Remove base grille. (See page 8.)

l To remove defrost pan, lift pan over wire brace (remove tape, if any).

l Wash defrost pan.

lRinse and dry thoroughly.

Personal Injury Hazard

Refrlgeratlon system tubes are located near the defrost pan and can become hot. Remove and Install defrost pan carefully. Failure to do so could result In personal InJury.

l Replace with notched corner to the rear. Push if in all the way.

l Make sure defrost drain tube is pointing into pan.

l Replace base grille.

l Remove base grille.

lVacuum coils (at least every other month). l Replace base grille.

lRoll refrigerator out only as far as wafer

supply line allows. l Clean floor.

l Roll refrigerator back into place.

l Check to see if the refrigerator is level.
