Grilling Tips

A few helpful hints will ensure that your grilling results are perfect every time.

Apply a light coating of cooking oil to your cooking grids before grilling, to prevent foods from sticking.

Cook similar portion sizes together, so that they all cook evenly.

Use tongs to turn foods on the Grill.

Never pierce foods while they are cooking on the Grill, as this will dry them out.

On foods such as pork chops and steak, slit the fat strip to prevent the meat from curling during cooking.

Turn foods infrequently. Some chefs say that a good steak should never be turned more than once.

Apply sugar-based sauces such as commercial barbecue sauces only during the latter stages of cooking, to prevent charring.

Soak the string you use to tie up roasts and poultry on the Rotisserie spit to protect it from burning. Also, soak the wooden skewers that you intend to use for kebabs for several minutes before using them for

cooking. ·

Use a disposable aluminum tray filled with water, fruit juice, wine or a marinade to add extra flavor and moisture to slow-cooked foods like roasts, whole chickens, turkeys or ducks. Place the tray on top of the sear plates below the Grill surface and immediately under the foods being cooked. This will buffer the heat from below, thereby slowing the cooking process and protecting the bottom of the food from over- cooking. Check the tray periodically during cooking and keep it filled with liquid.

WARNING : Never let the tray boil dry. That could be hazardous, as grease from fatty foods that has collected in the tray could ignite and possibly cause bodily injury or property damage.

NOTE : Always trim excess fat from your foods to reduce the occurrence of flareups during cooking.

The VC200 model is designed for those looking for a compact yet efficient heating solution. One of its standout features is its efficient burning system, which maximizes heat output while minimizing emissions. The VC200 utilizes a robust cast iron construction, which not only contributes to its durability but also helps retain heat for longer periods. Its air wash system keeps the glass door clean, providing an unobstructed view of the flames, enhancing the ambiance of any room.

In terms of technology, the VC200 incorporates an environmentally friendly design, allowing for wood burning that meets stringent emission standards. The stove's compact design makes it suitable for smaller spaces, and its easy-to-use operation ensures that anyone can manage it effectively. The VC200 is a perfect choice for those who want a reliable heating option without the bulkiness of larger models.

On the other hand, the VC400 offers a more robust heating solution for larger areas. This stove boasts a higher heat output capacity, making it ideal for larger homes or open spaces. Like the VC200, it features a cast iron construction, but with an expanded firebox that allows for longer wood pieces, contributing to extended burn times.

The VC400 is equipped with Vermont Casting's advanced air combustion system, which improves efficiency and reduces smoke emissions, aligning with modern environmental standards. Its sophisticated design ensures that the stove operates quietly while delivering consistent warmth throughout the space. With a larger viewing area, users can enjoy the flickering flames from multiple angles, adding charm and comfort to their living areas.

Both the VC200 and VC400 are available in various finishes, allowing homeowners to select a style that complements their décor. Additionally, the stoves come with a variety of optional accessories, such as outside air kits and heat shields, making them versatile to individual heating needs.
