Something not working

If the appliance is not working correctly, please carry out the following checks, before contacting your local Service Centre.

IMPORTANT: If you call out an engineer to a fault listed below, or to repair a fault caused by incorrect use or installation, a charge will be made even if the appliance is under guarantee.

SYMPTOM	SOLUTION
	υ Check that the unit is plugged in and the electrical
ν The cooker does not operate.	supply is switched on
	υ Check that the RCCB has not tripped (if fitted)
	υ Check the mains fuse has not blown
	υ Check the correct control knob has been turned.
ν The ceramic hob is not giving satisfactory results	υ Check the cooking pan is the correct size for the
	cooking zone
	υ Check the cooking pan has a flat base
	υ Check the setting is correct for the type of cooking
ν The oven does not come on	υ Check that both a cooking function and temperature
	have been selected.
	υ Check the oven is in manual operation
	υ Check that the socket switch or the switch from the
	mains supply to the cooker are ON.
ν The oven temperature light does not come on	υ Select a temperature with the thermostat control
	knob
	υ Select a function with the oven function control
	knob.
ν The oven light does not come on	υ Select a function with the oven function control
	knob
	υ Check the light bulb, and replace it if necessary
	(see "Oven Lamp replacement")
ν It takes too long to finish the dishes, or they are	υ The temperature may need adjusting
cooked too fast.
ν Steam and condensation settle on the food and the	υ Refer to the contents of this booklet, especially to
oven cavity.	the chapter “Using the Oven”.
	υ Leave dishes inside the oven no longer than 15-20
	minutes after the cooking is completed.
ν The oven fan is noisy	υ Check that shelves and bakeware are not vibrating
	in contact with the oven back panel.

If after all these checks, the cooker still does not work, contact your local Zanussi Service Force Centre.
