FLAILS

The flails, located inside the housing, may be reversed when they become dull. It is suggested that this procedure be performed by your nearest Sears Service Department.

If engine dies, turn idle speed adjusting screw 1/4 turn clockwise (_). Place throttle control in FAST position and restart engine.

Move throttle control to tDLE position_ If engine does not idle, repeat third step.

e Test the engine by using the chipper-shredder_ If engine tends to stall or die out, it usually indicates that the mixture is slightly lean and it may be nec- essary to open (_'_) the needle valve slightly to provide a richer mixture, This richer mixture may cause a slight unevenness in idling°

Designed for homeowners seeking dependable and efficient lawn maintenance, these mowers embody the principles of durability and performance, which Craftsman has become synonymous with over the years.

One of the standout features of these models is their powerful engine. Equipped with a robust 20 horsepower Briggs & Stratton engine, they deliver a reliable performance capable of handling diverse terrain and tough grass conditions. The automated starting system provides ease of use, allowing operators to get started without the hassle of manual pulls.

Both models boast a 46-inch cutting deck that ensures wider coverage with each pass, reducing mowing time significantly. The deck is constructed with durable materials, designed to withstand prolonged use while providing a clean, even cut for a professional-looking lawn. Additionally, the adjustable cutting heights—ranging from 1.5 to 4 inches—allow users to customize their mowing experience according to the specific needs of their lawn, accommodating both regular maintenance and seasonal variations.

Technology is another area where the Craftsman 247.797855 and 79785 stand out. They feature a hydrostatic transmission system, which offers smooth and responsive operation. This technology makes maneuvering around obstacles effortless, providing a superior driving experience without the need for frequent gear changes.

The high-back seat is ergonomically designed to provide ample support during extended mowing sessions, and the presence of an easy-to-use dashboard allows users to monitor critical information such as fuel level and speed intuitively.

Moreover, both models include a mulching capability, enabling users to recycle grass clippings effectively. This not only reduces the need for bagging but also contributes nutrients back into the soil, benefitting the overall health of the lawn.

In summary, the Craftsman 247.797855 and 79785 models are a testament to reliability, power, and user-friendly design. With their combination of a powerful engine, adjustable cutting deck, advanced transmission technology, and thoughtful ergonomic features, they stand as excellent choices for homeowners looking to maintain and enhance their outdoor spaces. Whether tackling small yards or larger landscapes, these mowers provide a seamless lawn care experience that professionals and enthusiasts alike will appreciate.
