HOW TO SHARPEN THE BLADE

Keep a sharp edge on the blade A blade that is not sharp wi!! cause the tips of the grass to become brown

1 Sharpen the blade two times s year or e_:erl 25 hours

2Remove the blade according to the Mstructions in "How To Remove And Install The Blade"

3Clean the blade with a brush, soap and water Check the blade Look for cracks, nicks, or other damage Replace s

badly worn or damaged Made with an original equipment blade See an authorized service dealer in your area

4Sharpen the blade with a file Make sure you keep the original bevel angle.

5Make sure the blade is balanced Use a screwdriver and hold the blade parallel to the ground as shown A blade that is balanced will stay para!lel to the ground If the blade is not balanced, the heaw end wi!t rotate toward the ground Sha_en the heavy end until the blade is balanced

6A new blade will cut better than a badly worn blade Ever/ three years, have an authori=ed seP41ce person inspect the blade or replace the old blade with an original equipment blade
