SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS

TO REPLACE MOWER DRIVE BELT

MOWER DRIVE BELT REMOVAL (See Fig_ 25) -

Park tractor on a level surface, Engage parking brake,

oRemove four screws from L,H, mandrel cover and remove cover,

Roll bett over the top of LHo mandrel pulley. o Remove belt from electric clutch pulley.

, Remove belt from idler pulleys°

oRemove any dirt or grass clippings which may have

accumulated around mandrels and entire upper deck surface,,

Check primary idler arm and two idlers to see that they rotate freely.

oBe sure spring is securely hooked to primary idler arm and bolt in mower housing.

MOWER DRIVE BELT INSTALLATION (See Fig. 25) -

oInstall belt in both idlers. Make sure belt is in both belt keepers at the idlers as shown,

o Install new belt onto electric clutch pulley,

Roll belt into upper groove of L.H. mandrel pulley,

oCarefully check belt routing making sure belt is in the grooves correctly and inside belt keepers.

o Reassemble LH. mandrel cover,

TO REPLACE MOWER BLADE DRIVE BELT (See Fig. 26)

Park the tractor on level surface, Engage parking brake.

oRemove mower drive belt (See"TO REPLACE MOWER DRIVE BELT' in this section of this manual)

oRemove mower (See "TO REMOVE MOWER" in this section of this manual),

oRemove four screws from R.H mandrel cover and remove cover, Unhook spring from bolt on mower housing

°Carefully roll belt off RH mandrel pulley_

Remove belt from center mandrel pulley, idler pulley, and L.H, mandrel pulley,

oRemove any dirt or grass which may have accumu- lated around mandrels and entire upper deck surface,.

oCheck secondary idler arm and idler to see that they rotate freely.

oBe sure spring is hooked in secondary idler arm and sway-bar bracket

Install new belt in lower groove of L.H, mandrel pulley, idler pulley, and center mandrel pulley as shown,,

oRoll belt over R. H. mandre! pulley_ Make sure belt is in all grooves properly.

oReconnect spring to bolt in mower housing and rein- stall RH mandrel cover_

oReinstall mower to tractor (See "INSTALL MOWER AND DRIVE BELT" in the Assembly section of this manuaf)_

oReassemble mower drive belt (See "TO REPLACE MOWER DRIVE BELT" in this section of this manual)_
