WARNING

C. Charge the Battery

Charge a new battery for 24-48 hours to ensure a full charge. If the mower must be used immediately, the battery may have enough of a charge to start the en- gine. If not, the engine can be started with the rope pull starter. NOTE: Charge the battery after the initial use of the mower to help ensure it is fully charged.

If battery is removed, do not operate engine without insulating positive (+) battery cable terminal with electrical tape or sparking from battery cells can result.
