Lighting Instructions

WARNING! Never use the torch while it is raining, the glass tube could crack or break causing serious injury.

WARNING! Ensure burner controls are in the off position. Slowly turn on the gas supply valve.

1.Turn burner control to ‘LIGHT’ position.

2.Press and hold igniter button until pilot lights, or light by match.

(check for pilot flame through glass

tube)

3.Once pilot is lit, keep control knob depressed for 15 seconds and then turn control knob to ‘LOW’.

4.If ignition is not immediate, turn burner control off. Wait 5 minutes.

Repeat.

5.For maximum heat turn control

knob to ‘HIGH’

6.To turn off the patio torch, turn the control knob to the ‘OFF’

position and then turn the gas supply off at the source.

WARNING! The propane cylinder is equipped with an excess flow device. Unless burners are turned off, prior to turning the cylinder on, only small flames and low heat will be achievable.

WARNING! If lighting the unit with a match, clip the match into the supplied lighting rod. Hold the lit match through the hole in the bottom or front of the control box while turning the burner valve to high.
