Before using a new saw

Read the instructions carefully.

Check cutting equipment is correctly fitted and adjusted. See page 25.

Refuel and start the saw. Check the carburetor settings. See pages 26-29.

Do not use the saw until sufficient chain oil has reached the chain, see page 14.

IMPORTANT! If the carburetor mixture is too lean it greatly increases the risk of engine failure.

Poor maintenance of the air filter will cause carbon build-up on the spark plug and lead to difficult starting.

If the chain is badly adjusted it will cause increased wear or damage to the bar, drive sprocket and chain.

Maintenance, replacement, or repair of the emission control devices and systems may be performed by any nonroad engine repair establishment or individual.

WARNING!

Under no circumstances may the design of the machine be modified without the permission of the manufacturer. Always use genuine spare parts/accessories. Non-authorized modifications and/or accessories can result in serious perso- nal injury or the death of the operator or others. Your warranty may not cover damage or liability caused by the use of non-authorized accessories or replacement parts.

A chain saw is a dangerous tool if used care- lessly or incorrectly and can cause serious, even fatal injuries. It is very important that you read and understand these instructions.

Warning! The inside of the muffler with catalytic converter contains chemicals that may cause cancer. Do not contact inside of damaged muffler.

Long term inhalation of the engine's exhaust fumes, chain oil mist and dust from sawdust can represent a health risk.

You will find the following labels on your chain saw:

EPA I:

EPA II:

The Emissions Compliance Period reffered to on the Emissions Compliance label indicates the number of operating hours for which the engine has been shown to meet Federal emission requirements.

Category C = 50 hours, B = 125 hours, A = 300 hours.

CS 2152 specifications

The Jonsered CS 2152 is a powerful and versatile chainsaw designed for both professional and residential use. Known for its reliability and performance, this model packs a host of features and technologies aimed at enhancing the user experience while ensuring efficiency in cutting tasks.

At the heart of the Jonsered CS 2152 is its robust 50.2 cc engine, providing ample power to tackle various wood cutting needs ranging from light trimming to more demanding felling jobs. The engine is equipped with a reliable starter system that facilitates easy starting, minimizing the frustration that can accompany starting a chainsaw. This is further complemented by Jonsered's Smart Start technology, which reduces resistance in the starter cord by up to 40%, making it easier to start with minimal effort.

The CS 2152 incorporates an advanced air filtration system that contributes to longer service intervals and improved engine life. This system reduces the amount of dust and debris that can enter the engine, ensuring optimal performance and reducing wear over time. Additionally, the chainsaw features a powerful centrifugal air cleaning system, which keeps the filter cleaner for longer, enhancing efficiency and reducing maintenance needs.

User comfort and safety are at the forefront of the CS 2152's design. The chainsaw is equipped with an anti-vibration system that minimizes vibrations transmitted to the user's hands, reducing fatigue during prolonged use. The handle design promotes an ergonomic grip, ensuring both comfort and control when operating the chainsaw.

Safety features include a chain brake, which stops the chain instantly in case of kickback, and a throttle lock-out that prevents accidental acceleration. The chainsaw also has easy access to the chain tensioning system, allowing for quick adjustments and ensuring optimal chain performance.

With a compact design weighing approximately 5.5 kg, the Jonsered CS 2152 is lightweight and maneuverable, making it an ideal tool for both novice and experienced users. The combination of these features not only makes this chainsaw a reliable companion for various cutting tasks but also highlights Jonsered's commitment to quality, safety, and user satisfaction in power tools. Overall, the Jonsered CS 2152 is a standout choice for anyone in need of a high-performing chainsaw that balances power, comfort, and ease of use.
