Blade will not engage.

1.

Blade clutch rod too loose.

See Blade Clutch Adjustment Section.

Blade belt worn or broken.

Turn off engine and inspect belt. Adjust or

3.

Over-stretched or broken spring

Turn off engine and inspect spring. Replace
