This section providesinformationaboutconnectingyour HomeTheaterStandardto analoganddigital sources,videosources,andamp.lifier.s.

Krell recommendsusingbalancedinterconnectcables. Balancedinterconnectcables not only canminimizesonicloss but also are immuneto inducednoise, especiallyfor installations using1(Sr~gcables.Balancedconnectionshave

CONNECT ANALOG AND DIGITAL SOURCES

1.Foranaloginput sources,connectthe right andleft outputsof yoursource componentsto the inputs on the HomeTheaterStandard.TheHomeTheater Standardis equippedwith six sets .ofsingle-endedanalogaudioinputs (S-1 through S-5andtape) via RCAconnectorsandoneset of balancedanalogaudioinputs (B-

1)via XLRconnectors.

2.Fordigital audiosources,connectthe digital audiooutputof yoursource componentsto the digital inputs on the HomeTheaterStandard.TheHomeTheater Standardis.equippedwith six coaxial digital inputs via RCAconnectorsandtwo digital EIAJoptical inputsvia TosLinkconnectors.

Note

Forsourceunits that are equippedwith bothdigital andanalogoutputs,the digital outputsshouldbe connectedfor listening in the mainzone;the analog.outputsshould beconnectedfor listening in zone2.

1.Connectthe outputof your videocomponentsto the appropriatevideoinput of the HomeTheater Standard.

2.Connectthe video outputsof the HomeTheaterStandardto the inputs of video recordersor additionalvideomonitors,if desired.-

Thecomponentvideosignal usesthree wires that conveyluminance(Y), red minus luminanceIR - Y] (Cr), andblue minusluminance[B - Y] (Cb)signals.

Usethe componentconnectionwhenthe sourcedevice (DVD)andoutput device (TV) both feature componentconnections.Seethe user manualsincluded with thesedevices for moreinformation. "
