The 808.2 includes an integrated preamplifier, allowing you to connect it directly to a pair of analogue active loudspeakers, or to analogue passive loudspeakers via a power amplifier such as the G56 or G57.

Connect the ANALOGUE OUTPUT connections from the CD player to the inputs of the analogue active loudspeakers or power amplifier, using phono leads.

If you are using an 808.2i connect your other sources to the appropriate inputs.

Configure to Type 0 if using an 808.2 or 808.2i with no external inputs, or Type 3 for an 808.2i with other inputs in use; see Choosing a standard setting, page 30.
