HYDRAULIC PUMP DRIVE BELT
REPLACEMENT			B		FRONT
1.	Park the tractor on a smooth, level surface such as a
	concrete floor. Disengage the PTO, engage the
	parking brake, turn off the engine, and remove the		E		A
	ignition key.
2.	Remove the PTO drive belt (see MOWER BELT		F			D
	REPLACEMENT for removal instructions).		7-3/4”
		(19,7cm)
3.	Loosen the nut towards the front of the machine on
	the spring anchor hook (H, Figure 32) to release the
	majority of the belt tension. Use caution and remove
	the nut to completely release the tension.		C			C
4.	Remove the old belt and replace it with the new one.
			G		H
	Make sure the V-side of the belt runs in the grooves
	of the crankshaft pulley and pump pulleys (B & C,	Figure 32. Hydraulic Pump Drive Belt Replacement
	Figure 32).

5.	Reinstall the anchor hook (H, Figure 32) into the

	anchor tab and loosely fasten the nut. Adjust the	C.	Pump Pulley	G.	Spring

	achieved from the outside if the spring hooks.
	Tighten nut.
6.	Reinstall the PTO drive belt.		B	A
MOWER BELT REPLACEMENT
	To avoid damaging belts, DO NOT
	PRY BELTS OVER PULLEYS.
1.	Park the tractor on a smooth, level surface such as a
	concrete floor. Disengage the PTO, engage the
	parking brake, turn off the engine, and remove the
	ignition key.
2.	Remove the hairpin clip and clevis pin and remove	Figure 33. Mower PTO Belt
	the deck lift foot pedal. Lift the floor plate to gain	A. Belt Tension Spring
	access to the PTO drive belt.	B. Spring Compression Nut
3.	Loosen the spring compression nut (B, Figure 33) to
	release the belt tension.		D
4.	Slide the drive belt over the edge of the idler pulley				B	C
	and then slide the belt under the idler pulley. Drop
	the belt from the PTO clutch pulley groove.
5.	Remove the old belt and replace with a new one.
	Make sure the V-side of the belt runs in the pulley
	grooves (Figure 34).
6.	Install the drive belt on the PTO pulley, the spindle
	pulleys and idler pulleys. Tighten the spring com-					A
	pression nut (B, Figure 33) until the belt tension		A
	spring (A, Figure 33) is 1-5/8” (4,12cm) long.		D
7.	Run the mower under no-load condition for about 5				A
