Note: Determine the left and right sides of the machine from the normal operating position.

Check the safety interlock system.

 

•

Check the air cleaner for dirty, loose or damaged parts.

 

•

Check the engine oil level.

Before each use or daily

•

Check air intake and cooling areas, clean as necessary.

 

•

Check the cutting blades.

 

•

Inspect the grass deflector for damage

 

•

Clean the cutter deck housing.

 

 

 

 

•

Grease all lubrication points.

Every 25 hours

•

Service the paper element. (more often under extremely dusty, dirty conditions)

•

Check tyre pressure.

 

 

•

Check the belts for wear/cracks.

 

 

 

 

•

Replace the paper element. (more often under extremely dusty, dirty conditions)

Every 100 hours

•

Change the engine oil and filter.

•

Clean the blower housing (more often under extremely dusty, dirty conditions).

 

 

•

Replace the fuel filter.

 

 

 

Every 200 hours

•

Check spark plug condition and gap.

 

 

 

Every 500 hours

•

Replace the spark plug.

 

 

 

 

•

Charge the battery and disconnect battery cables.

Before storage

•

Perform all maintenance procedures listed above before storage.

 

•

Paint any chipped surfaces.

Important: Refer to your engine operator’s manual for additional maintenance procedures.

If you leave the key in the ignition switch, someone could accidently start the engine and seriously injure you or other bystanders.

Remove the key from the ignition before you do any maintenance. Set the wire aside so that it does not accidentally contact the spark plug.
