Using Various Functions for Shooting Movies

This chapter serves as a more advanced version of the “Shooting Movies” and “Viewing Movies” sections in Chapter 1, and explains how to use various functions for shooting and viewing movies.

This chapter assumes that the mode switch is set to E.

The latter half of the chapter explaining movie playback and editing assumes that the 1button has been pressed to enter Playback mode.

Shooting Movies in Modes Other than E

When the mode switch is set to A, the camera can automatically select all settings so that you can shoot movies (p. 30).

You can shoot movies by pressing the movie button, however, certain settings made in the øand Shooting menus will automatically change to match settings for shooting movies.

When you finish shooting a movie, the settings will return to those before the movie was shot.
