Child LockChild Lock prevents children from playing with your washer.
Activating the Child Lock functionPress and hold the Rinse and Spin buttons simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds.
•When you activate the Child Lock function, the “Child Lock [
If the door is opened when the Child Lock function is on, “dE” is displayed and an alarm sounds.
•If the door is closed while “dE” is displayed, the alarm sound stops and the information code turns from “dE” to “Child Lock [
•30 seconds after the contol panel displays “dE”, the washer performs a compulsory drain.
•Even if the power is off, if Child Lock is on and the door is opened for 30 seconds, the washer displays the “Child Lock [
•After the compulsory drain, the “CL” code display blinks at 1 second intervals and the

•To cancel the “dE” mode, deactivate the Child Lock function. To deactivate the Child Lock function, press and hold the Rinse and the Spin buttons simultaneously for at least
3 seconds.
•To add laundry, deactivate the Child Lock function. To deactivate the Child Lock function, press and hold the Rinse and the Spin buttons simultaneously for at least 3 seconds. See “Pause Option” on page 23 for additional details.
