After you power-on the switch, it automatically performs a power-on

self-test (POST). During the POST, the System LED on the front panel of

 

the switch flashes green.

 

When the POST is complete, the System LED turns green. If the System

 

LED turns amber after the POST, it means that POST failed. Table Table 2

 

summarizes the possible colors for the System LED after a POST.

then try powering on switch again.

If the switch still does not operate, contact your 3Com network supplier

If POST fails, try the following:

Power off the Switch 24 and then power it on again by unplugging and then plugging in the power cord.

Check the System LED and determine if the POST was successfully completed.

Reset the switch to the factory defaults. See “Reset Button” on page 8.

CAUTION: Resetting the switch to its factory defaults erases all your settings. You will need to reconfigure the switch after you reset it.
