General SwitchCommands Table 4-4 describes general Switch commands.

Table 4-4 General Switch Commands

Command Description
show switch Displays the current Switch information, including:
sysName, sysLocation, sysContact
MAC address
current date and time, and system uptime
operating environment (temperature, fans, and
power supply status)
NVRAM image information (primary/secondary
image, date, time, size, version)
NVRAM configuration information
(primary/secondary configuration, date, time, size,
version)
Scheduled reboot information
System serial number and reworks indicator
Software platform
System ID
Power supply and fan status
show version Displays the hardware and software versions currently
running on the Switch. Also displays the Switch serial
number.
show memory Displays summary system configuration and memory
utilization statistics for the CPU system DRAM.
reboot Allows you to reboot the Switch. The Switch will ask for
confirmation and then reboot.
config time <time> Allows you to configure the system date and time. The
format for <time> is:
mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm
The time uses a 24-hour clock format.
