To perform a hard reset:
1. Hold down the green power button on the front panel of the Palm
III organizer.
2. While holding down the power button, use the tip of an unfolded
paper clip (or simil ar object without a sharp tip) to gently press the
reset button.
3. When a message appears on the Palm III organizer screen warning
that you are about to erase all the data stored on your Palm III
organizer, do one of the following:
■Press the upper half of the scroll button on the front panel of the
Palm III organizer to complete the hard reset and dis play the
Digitizer screen.
■Press any other button to perform a soft reset.
Note: With a hard reset, the curren t d a te a nd tim e are retained.
Formats Preferences and other settings ar e re stored to their
factory default settings.
