Chapter 4: HardwareReference
This chapter describes the hardware features of the Fast EtherHub-12se. For easier management and control of the hub, familiarize yourself with the display indicators and ports. This hub includes 11 RJ-45 MDI-X station ports, of which Port 12 can also serve as an MDI daisy-chain port. In addition, it includes one fiber optic port (Port 1) that supports connection to any 100BASE- FX compatible device using standard multimode fiber optic cable with SC or ST type connectors (depending on the model you purchased).
Note: Model EH3012-TF-SC has an SC-type fiber connector.
Model EH3012-TF-ST has an ST-type fiber connector.
Front Panel
The front panel provides a simple interface for monitoring the hub. It includes an alert indicator to show if the fan has failed, a power indicator, a statistical display for network traffic, and port status indicators as shown below.
