802.11b - A wireless networking products standard defined by the IEEE that calls for wireless product to talk to each other regardless of manufacturer.

The 802.11g specification specifies a maximum data transfer rate of 54Mbps using OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) modula- tion, operating in the ISM operating frequency of 2.4GHz,and provide backward compatibility with IEEE 802.11b devices, and WEP encryption for security.
