Connecting inputs and outputs
✪When connecting audio cables and/or turning power on and off, make sure that all devices in your system are turned off and the volume controls are turned down.

This cable splits the TRS insert jack into two unbalanced mono connectors. Usually, the tip is connected to the INPUT of the equalizer and the ring is connected to the OUTPUT of the equalizer. However, this may be reversed on some recording consoles. Check your mixer’s Reference Manual to be sure or just try it both ways – this won’t damage the
