Playing MP3/WMA Data (File Play Mode)

When using discs containing both audio data and MP3/WMA data.

Setting item: FILE PLAY MODE

Setting contents: CD / CMPM

CD: Plays only the audio data on discs containing both audio data and MP3/WMA data.

CMPM: Plays only the MP3/WMA files on discs containing both audio data and MP3/WMA data.

Insert the disc when playback is stopped and remove the disc from the unit before setting.

When an MP3-compatible CD changer is used, this setting cannot be applied.

Setting the Video CD Play Mode

When playing a Playback Control (PBC) enabled Video CD, you can choose to set PBC ON or OFF.

Setting item: PBC

Setting contents: ON / OFF

ON: The PBC menu is displayed.

OFF: The PBC menu is not displayed.

RADIO Setup

Radio Setup Operation

The Parking Brake must be engaged to access the RADIO mode screen. Attempting to access this screen while driving will display the warning-CAN’T OPERATE WHILE DRIVING.

The following steps 1 to 5 are common operations to each “Setting item” of Radio Setup. Refer to each section for details.

1 Touch [SETUP] on the main source screen.

The SETUP selection screen is displayed.

2 Touch [SOURCE].

The SOURCE SETUP screen appears.

3 Touch [ ] of RADIO SETUP.

The RADIO setup screen appears.

4 Touch [OFF], [ON] or [ ], [ ] of the desired item to change its setting.

Setting items:

RDS CLOCK DISP / FM LEVEL / PI SEEK / RDS REGIONAL / PTY LANGUAGE / PTY31

5 Touch [RETURN] to return to the previous screen.

RDS Time Display

When ON is selected, the clock is adjusted automatically based on the time data sent from the RDS broadcast.

Setting item: RDS CLOCK DISP

Setting contents: OFF / ON

ON: Adjust the clock automatically based on the time data. In this case, the clock cannot be adjusted manually.

To adjust it manually, select OFF.

Adjusting Source Signal Levels

If the difference in volume level between the CD and FM radio is too great, adjust the FM signal level as follows.

Setting item: FM LEVEL

Setting contents: LOW / HIGH

PI SEEK Setting

Setting item: PI SEEK

Setting contents: OFF / AUTO

Receiving RDS Regional (Local) Stations

When OFF is selected, the unit automatically keeps receiving the related local RDS station.

Setting item: RDS REGIONAL

Setting contents: OFF / ON

Switching the Display Language of PTY (Programme Type)

You can select one of the patterns of the display languages.

Setting item: PTY LANGUAGE

Setting contents: GB / NL / F / D / I / E

Setting PTY31 (Emergency Broadcast) Reception

PTY31 (Emergency Broadcast) reception can be set to ON/OFF.

Setting item: PTY31

Setting contents: ON / OFF

The unit automatically gives priority to an Emergency Broadcast whenever it begins, and interrupts the programme you are currently listening to when PTY31 is set to on.

The unit will show “ALARM” in the display during PTY31 reception.
