Customer-supplied sol id heate d surface mate rial must be rated to withsta nd temper ature s at 200° F (93°C ) or above. Mater ial must be 3/4 " (19mm) thic kness.

DO NOT use kniv es or utensils on the hea ted surface.

Use a cutting board.

Use hand protectio n when han dling hot items.

METAL PARTS OF THIS EQUIPMENT

BECOME EXTREMELY HOT WHEN IN

OPERATION. TO AVOID BURNS,

ALWAYS USE HAND PROTECTION

WHEN OPERATING THIS APPLIANCE.

BEFORE INITIAL USE:

Before operating, clean the exterior with a clea n, damp cloth and mild soap solu tion . Rins e carefu lly.

The unit is equipped with a ther mos tat

the dial at 8 to preheat. When the indic ato r light goes out , the unit is preheated .

The produ ct must be at the proper intern al

3.tem pera ture bef ore transf err ing to the hot food modu le. Use a meat ther mom eter to check the intern al tem perature of the produ ct bei ng held. Adjust the the rmostat on the shelf to give the best overall settin g based on the inter nal product tem pera ture.

The proper temperature range for the

4.produc ts will depend on the type and quantity of produc t. When holding food for prolong ed periods, it is advisable to peri odically check the inte rnal tem peratu re of each item with a food ther mom eter to assu re maintena nce of the proper

tem pera ture range of 140° to 160°F (60° to 71°C). Read thi s manual for addi tional infor mation on safe inter nal produc t tem pera tures, gen era l holding guidel ines, and sanitation procedu res .
