1	CAUTION	2 VALVE INSTALLATION
	Turn off hot and cold water
	supplies before beginning.		Place RUBBER RING into ESCUTCHEON	ESCUTCHEON
SPOUT OR BASE ASSEMBLY
			and screw ESCUTCHEON onto VALVE
	RUBBER		BODY until snug against internal stop.	RUBBER
	GASKET			RING
	Insert BASE or SPOUT shank through	SPOUT	Tighten LOCKNUT to secure VALVE	5/16''
	center hole of SINK, making sure
			position. Attach COUPLING to TEE	MIN.

	positioned to the rear as shown.
		3	DRAIN ASSEMBLY	FLANGE

	Prepare TUBE and TEE ASSEMBLY to fit	SHANK		SINK

	Press TEE onto SHANK of SPOUT making certain that the			TAIL
	SHANK O-RING is properly seated on SHANK.

4	THUMBSCREW
	DRAIN INSTALLATION
	(Models 6801 and 6831 only)

Apply a bead of PUTTY around the underside of DRAIN PLUG flange and insert DRAIN PLUG into SINK drain hole.

Hold DRAIN PLUG firmly to prevent turning, and assemble the GASKET, WASHER, and LOCKNUT from underneath the SINK.

Insert GASKET into COUPLING and	EXTENSION
attach COUPLING to DRAIN PLUG.
Align COUPLING so that the	ACTUATOR
ACTUATOR ROD faces rear of	ROD
SINK and tighten LOCKNUT to
secure position.

Unscrew ACTUATOR NUT and withdraw the ACTUATOR ROD.

Drop STOPPER into DRAIN PLUG with the OFFSET SQUARE SLOT in line with ACTUATOR ROD opening.

Reassemble ACTUATOR ROD. Make sure ROD is inside offset square slot of the stopper. Tighten ACTUATOR NUT.

Insert threaded end of TAILPIECE into lower end of COUPLING. Connect other end of TAIL PIECE to the TRAP.

Slide EXTENSION onto ACTUATOR ROD and secure with CLIP.

Slide EXTENSION onto LIFT ROD and tighten THUMBSCREW.

Adjust LIFT ROD stroke for proper opening and closing of the stopper.

5 TEST INSTALLED FAUCET

Remove AERATOR.

With handle in OFF position, turn on water supplies and check all connections for leaks.

6 SERVICE

Operate both handles to flush water lines thoroughly. Check spout mounting and hose connections for leaks.

Operate LIFT ROD and check DRAIN for leaks.

Turn handles into OFF position and replace AERATOR.

If spout drips, operate handles several times from OFF to ON position. Do not force - handles turn only 90°.

To change direction of handle rotation,
proceed as follows:
Turn valve to OFF position.
Remove INSERT and HANDLE SCREW.	SPRING
Slip HANDLE with ADAPTER off.	CLIP

Remove SPRING CLIP.	STOP
Lift STOP WASHER, turn 90° and replace.
	WASHER
Replace SPRING CLIP.
Replace ADAPTER, HANDLE, SCREW, and INSERT.

AERATOR may accumulate dirt causing distorted and reduced water flow. Remove AERATOR and rinse clean.

Plastic SCREEN in CARTRIDGE may accumulate dirt causing reduced water flow. To clean, first turn off hot and cold water supplies, then:

Remove INSERT and HANDLE SCREW.

Slip HANDLE with ADAPTER off.

Unscrew CARTRIDGE with wrench.

Thoroughly rinse plastic SCREEN at base of CARTRIDGE.

Replace CARTRIDGE until flange is tight against valve body.

Turn valves OFF.

Replace ADAPTER, HANDLE, SCREW, and INSERT.
