7.1 Troubleshooting Chart

equipment from abnormal utility
voltages.

2. Battery is weak due to wea r or
recent oper ation during utilit y power
outage.
2. The battery should be recharged
by leaving the UPS plug ged in for 6
hours - do no t ope rate Test contr ol
during rech arge. If UPS sounds
low battery warning prematurely
when retested, battery s h ou ld be
replaced.
UPS emits loud tone during utility
failure. Power I/O switch is on but
computer equipment is not
powered. Rear p an el circuit
breaker is not tripped.
UPS has shut down due to
overload. Turn off UPS and unplug excessive
loads. Recheck computer system
power requirements as described
in installation instructions. UP S may
be turned on when utility has been
restored.
