FUNCTION BUTTONS - CONTINUED

Numeric Key Pad / Direct Program access

Press the numeric key pad to input data for disc or Setup menu.

Input the desired Chapter or Track number using the numeric key pad. Press ENTER button to confirm your direct access Chapter or key selection.

Track - when playing a CD or MP3 disc.

Numeric input - Function / Menu.

Chapter - when playing a DVD disc or for

Direct Program access.

NOTE

Certain DVD discs may not allow direct access functionality.

Multi-Angle

Certain DVD discs may contain scenes which have been shot simultaneously from a number of different

angles. For these discs, the same scenes can be viewed from each of these different angles

using the ANGLE button. (The recorded angles vary depending on the disc is encoded.)

If a DVD disc contains Multi-Angle feature, viewing angles may be selected:

During playback, press the ANGLE button repeatedly to select the desired viewing angle.

Status will be displayed on screen.

A DVD disc may contain

up to 9 selectable viewing angles.

Progressive Scan

The player is equipped with two types of video outputs:

1)Interlace video output (V, S-Video), and

2)Progressive Scan video output (Y Pb Pr)

For use with ED/HDTV to produce a "film-like" quality DVD presentation.

To switch between the two modes:

Press the Progressive Scan I/P button on the remote con- trol.

Note: If you experience a picture that is distorted or in black and white, press the I/P button.

IMPORTANT

Note: Use the Interlaced setting when using a standard TV. If you view a black and white distorted picture on your TV, press I/P.

(Your installation may be interlaced and it may have been put into Progressive Scan mode by mistake).
