Ink tanks and cartridges run out of ink too quickly
To extend the life of your ink cartridges, try the following:
mSelect Draft print quality in the Print dialog box whenever you can.
mDon’t clean the print head unless necessary.
mDon’t print solid background colors unless necessary.
mDon’t open the printer’s cover unnecessarily. (After you shut the cover, the
printer cleans the print head, which uses up ink.)
mDon’t unplug the printer or otherwise discontinue power frequently.
mDon’t print the test page unless necessary.
mIf you print mostly black and white documents, use the optional high-
performance black ink cartridge.
