Safety instructions
Electrical appliances should be kept out of the reach of children. Never allow children to use electrical appliances unsupervised. Batteries can be life threatening if swallowed. Ensure therefore that the appliance and batteries are kept out of the reach of children. In the event of a battery being swallowed, immediate medical attention must be sought.
The device may only be operated in dry rooms. Do not drop any objects onto or spill any liquids into the device. If this happens, immediately remove the mains plug from the socket and have the device checked by qualified technical personnel.
The device is to be placed horizontally on a solid, even surface. Do not block any ventilation openings. Position the device in such a way that any touching of the connections (particularly by children) is avoided.
If the device has been exposed to low temperatures (e.g. during transport), do not switch on the device until it has reached room temperature and any condensation water has evaporated.
If the device is not to be used for longer periods, the device’s mains plug should be removed from the socket.
Before cleaning the device, please remove the mains plug. The surfaces of the device should only be wiped with a clean, dry cloth. Never use paint thinners, pure alcohol or other strong cleaning agents or solvents.
Before switching the device back on, please ensure that there are no short circuits at the contact points and that all connections are correctly linked.
Aside from the steps described in the User’s Manual, the user should not undertake any other work on the device. The device may only be opened by qualified technical personnel. Repairs and the replacement of fuses must be done by a technical service centre.
