TRA-Series Amplifiers

Ashly’s TRA-Series expands on the SRA’s concept of “the right amp for the job.” As with the SRA-Series, these 2RU amplifiers utilize our state of the art technology and advanced engineering to produce highly efficient amplifiers that are convection cooled, so there’s little maintenance after the installation and no annoying fan noise. The main differ- ence between SRA and TRA is that the TRA-Series amplifiers move level controls to the back, give you expanded meter- ing, and provide low impedance and transformer coupled 70V and 100V outputs simultaneously (output transformers are internally mounted).

TRA-Series amplifiers incorporate a switch-mode-power supply and Class-D amplifier circuitry, providing an extremely power-efficient solution. The TRA-Series amplifiers include four models available in two- and four-channel configurations, with power ratings of 75W and 150W per channel @ 4 ohms, 70V and 100V.

Features include:

Convection cooling

Extremely low noise

Switchable 120V/240V power supply (internal)

Extensive protection circuitry

Front panel:

Signal level L.E.D.’s on each channel include –24, -18, -12, -6, -3 and clip alert

Rear panel:

Level attenuators for each channel

Euroblock inputs

Screw terminal outputs

Switches to select between two choices of input sensitivity and HPF frequencies on each channel

TRA Series specifications

The Ashly TRA Series is a cutting-edge line of power amplifiers designed to deliver outstanding performance in a variety of audio applications. The series is particularly well-suited for both fixed installations and portable sound reinforcement needs, making it a versatile choice for professionals in the audio industry.

One of the main features of the TRA Series is its Class D amplification technology. This technology not only allows for high efficiency and reduced power consumption but also contributes to lower heat generation. As a result, the TRA amplifiers can deliver significant power output without the bulk typically associated with traditional amplifiers, making them lightweight and easy to transport. This is particularly beneficial for touring applications where weight and space are crucial considerations.

The TRA Series amplifiers come equipped with advanced signal processing capabilities. This includes built-in DSP features that allow users to customize their sound with precision. Users can access a range of tools such as equalization, crossover settings, and limiter functions, all of which can be controlled via an intuitive user interface. This level of customization ensures that audio professionals can achieve optimal sound quality tailored to their specific environment and requirements.

Another standout characteristic of the Ashly TRA Series is its durable construction. Built to withstand the rigors of professional use, the enclosures are made from high-quality materials that resist wear and tear. The amplifiers also feature ample cooling systems that ensure reliable operation even during extended use at high levels, reducing the risk of thermal-related failures.

Connectivity is another strong point of the TRA Series, with multiple input options including XLR and RCA, allowing it to integrate seamlessly with a wide range of audio sources. Outputs are equally flexible, featuring speakON connections along with binding posts for various speaker types. This flexibility enhances the amplifier's usability across different applications from live performances to permanent installations.

In conclusion, the Ashly TRA Series exemplifies modern audio engineering, combining efficiency, high-quality sound processing, and rugged construction in a lightweight package. Its impressive features make it a standout choice for audio professionals looking to enhance their sound systems, whether for live events, installations, or mobile setups. With the TRA Series, users can expect reliable performance and superior audio reproduction, making it an essential tool for any serious audio engineer.
