Primary & Secondary IDE Master / Slave [Auto]See 4.3.1 Primary & Seconday IDE Master/Slave for details.Auto-Detect Hard Disks

This option detects the parameters of an IDE hard disk drive and automatically enters them into the Main Setup menu. The only difference between this option and the [Auto] option in the Primary/Secondary IDE Master/Slave fields is that this option allows the BIOS program to remember the drive information and to skip IDE deivce detection routines during bootup hereafter. Therefore, the system may not be able to recognize new IDE devices installed after you activate this option and you must select [Auto] for the IDE Device Configuration field or manually enter the information for those devices.
