2.5.4 PCI slots
The PCI slots support cards such as a LAN card, SCSI card, USB card, and other
cards that comply with PCI specications. Refer to the gure below for the location
of the slots.
2.5.5 PCI Express x4 slot & PCI Express x1 slot
This motherboard supports PCI Express x4 and PCI Express x1 network cards,
SCSI cards and other cards that comply with the PCI Express specications. Refer
to the gure below for the location of the slot.
2.5.6 Two PCI Express x16 slots
This motherboard supports two NVIDIA® SLI™-ready PCI Express x16 graphic
cards that comply with PCI Express specications. Refer to the gure below for the
location of the slots.

Secondary PCI Express x16 slot (black)
Connect a rear chassis fan to the c hassis ( CHA_FAN1 or CHA_FAN2)
connector when using two graphics cards for better thermal environment.

In single card mode, you may use either the blue or black slot for PCI
Express x16 cards.
In NVIDIA® SLI™ mode, the PCI Express x16 slots work at the full
bandwidth of PCI Express x16 for a combined bandwidth of x32.
We recommend that you provide sufcient power when running NVIDIA®
SLI™ mode. See pages 2-28 and 2-29 for details.
