Configure SATA As [Standard IDE]

Sets the Serial ATA configuration.

The AHCI allows the onboard storage driver to enable advanced Serial ATA features that increases storage performance on random workloads by allowing the drive to internally optimize the order of commands.

To create a RAID 0, RAID 1or the Intel® Matrix Storage Technology configuration, set this item as RAID.

If you want to use your Serial ATA like a Parallel ATA physical storage interface, select the Standard IDE option.

When set in Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) or RAID mode the SATA controller is set to Native mode.
