Event Configuration

This section describes how to configure the AXIS 241Q/241S for alarm handling. Various actions can be configured to run when certain types of events occur.

Event type

A set of parameters describing how and when the video server is to perform certain actions

Event Servers

Event Servers are used for e.g. receiving uploaded image files and/or notification messages. To set up Event server for your AXIS 241Q/241S, go to Setup > Event Configuration > Event Servers and enter the required information according to the selected server type.

Note: Pre-trigger and Post-trigger buffers will be lost if the connection to the event server fails.

When the setup is complete, the connection can be tested by clicking the Test button (the connection test takes approximately 10 seconds).
