Installation

27418xx1 only:

Install a ½" NPT male threaded nipple, recessed ⅜" behind the surface of the finished ceiling.

Suggestion - Install a properly secured ½" drop-ear ell into which a nipple of the proper length can be installed.

Using the mounting plate as a template, mark the positions for four screw holes.

Remove the mounting plate.

Drill the holes with a 6mm bit.
