Using the PRO Set ting to Imp rove Perform ance
When you connect your iPod, your TuneBase F M will automatic ally adjust the volume for your
iPod model. Although t he default volum e setting will be ideal for mos t conditions, yo u may
be able to improve the au dio performa nce of your TuneBase FM by using the PR O setting.
Professional FM station s use dynamic compression to m ake music loude r and fuller w hile
compression to your au dio:
Your TuneBase FM displays the c urrent PRO setti ng. Pressing the “PRO” button cha nges the
setting as follows:
Listening to Mon o Recording s
Your TuneBase FM transmits in s tereo, but you can transmit in mo no if needed. We suggest
that you switch to mono tra nsmission if y our stereo is not receiving a cl ear signal fro m your
TuneBase FM or if you are li stening to a mono recording such as a podcast or audio book.
To switch to mono transmissi on, press the “PR O” button until t he setting a ppears.
The PRO button setting s are as follows :
Normal – No change to the audio. This setting works well
with all types of audio.
PRO 1 – Increases the average volume of the audio. This
setting works well with most types of music.
PRO 2 – Increases the average volume even further. This
setting works well with quieter music, but it may cause
distortion with louder music.
Increases the average volume and transmits
in mono (instead of stereo). This setting works well for
podcasts and audio books. It can also be used to improve
reception if you are not receiving a clear signal from your
TuneBase FM.
