PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Unit not heating or stops
heating. Electrical outlet is not working
or iron is unplugged. The
temperature control is set too
low. Auto-off is operating.
Check to make sure outlet is
working.
Set the temperature control to
a higher setting.
Move or shake iron to
reactivate the heating process.
Temperature-ready light is
going on and off. This is a normal function of
the iron. When the iron is heating the
thermostat light will cycle
on and off. If the thermostat
has been changed to a higher
setting the temperature ready
will cycle until the requested
heat setting has been reached.
There is not enough steam. There is not enough water in
the water chamber.
The iron is not set to a steam
setting.
Unplug the iron and ll the
water tank with tap water.
Plug in iron and allow time
for iron to heat up.
Change the setting on the iron
to and appropriate setting for
steam ironing.
Brown or white spots are
appearing on the material
being ironed.
Water may contain large
amounts of iron or organic
matter.
If your water has a high
mineral content, instead of
tap water try bottled spring
water. Do not use distilled
water.
Iron is leaking. The steam button has been
overused.
Distilled or softened water is
being used.
The water tank has been
overlled.
Allow more time between
surge usage.
Use spring water or part
spring water, part tap water to
ll the tank.
Do not add water past the
MAX line and be sure to
close the cover on the water
chamber.
Build up is visible on the
soleplate. Too much starch is being

Ironing at too high a setting.
Spray starch on reverse side
of garment and allow time for
starch to penetrate the fabric.
Check the ironing instructions
on the fabric being ironed
and follow the manufacturer’s
guide.
To clean soleplate of iron, we
suggest purchasing soleplate
cleaner and following the
package directions.

Espere que la plancha se enfríe bien antes de guardarla. Enrolle el cable
holgadamente alrededor de la plancha.

Siempre desconecte la plancha cuando no esté en uso y cuando llene o
vacíe el tanque de agua.

No utilice la plancha si el cable o el enchufe presentan algún desperfecto,
si la ha dejado caer o dañado. Para evitar el riesgo de un choque
eléctrico, no desarme la plancha. Acuda a una persona de servicio
calificada. El reensamblaje incorrecto de la plancha puede ocasionar el
riesgo de un choque eléctrico.

Se requiere supervisar de cerca todo aparato eléctrico al ser utilizado
por o en la presencia de los niños. Nunca descuide la plancha mientras
permanece enchufada ni sobre la tabla de planchar.

Pueden ocurrir quemaduras si se tocan las partes metálicas, el agua
caliente, o el vapor. Tome precaución al invertir una plancha de vapor ya
que puede haber agua caliente dentro del tanque. Evite los movimientos
bruscos para no derramar agua caliente.
