Step 1 - Turn the dial (10) as shown in figure D to the appropriate icon. Refer to the chart below for descriptions of the 7 different positions.
Step 2 - Insert the proper blade based on the chart.
Step 3 - Perform the cut.

How to use the Smart SelectTM dial
This tool is equipped with a unique Smart SelectTM Dial to set the speed and the orbital blade action for various cutting applications. To select the optimum speed and orbital blade action for the type of material being cut, turn the dial as shown in the table below.
