OPERATINGTHE POLE SAW

ConnectingtheBattery
Placethe battery in the tool as shown in figure
19andbe certain that it is inserted fully into the
tool cavityuntil it “clicks” into place. Toremove
the battery from the tool, press down on the
release button on the back of the battery (figure
20) and slide out.
Switch
Alwaysbe sure of your footing and grip the
Pole Sawfirmly with both hands with the
thumband fingers encircling the handle.
Toturn the tool ON pull the lock button (1)
back withyour thumb and then squeeze
the trigger(2) with your fingers as shown
in figure21. (Once the tool is running you
can releasethe lock button.) To turn the
tool OFF,release the trigger.
Auto-StopChainBrakingSystem
Yourchain saw is fitted with an auto-stop chainbraking system which
will stopthe chain quickly each time you release the rear trigger,or if
kickbackshould occur. This system should be tested beforeevery
use.

WARNING: Alwayscheck to
makesurethat the sleeveiscompletely threaded onandthat
theorangethreads are nolongervisible. Not threading the
sleevecompletely on could result in the modules becoming
disconnectedcreating a hazardous condition. Periodically check
the connectionsto insure that no orange threads are visible.
DISASSEMBLYDetachingSawHeadModule
WARNING: Sharpmoving blade. Toprevent
accidentaloperation, insure that batteryis
disconnectedfrom the handle and that the
protectivescabbard is in place on the chain
beforeperformingthe following operations.
Failure to dothis could result in serious personal
injury.
When detachingthe modules, whether it is in the two
moduleor three module mode, always detach the
saw headmodule first. To do this, rest the handle
moduleon the ground and grasp the center of the saw
head modulewith one hand figure 17.
Use yourother hand to loosen the
threadedsleeve figure 18 and then pull
the twohalves apart. Repeat this process
if the centerextension was attached.
