3.2.3CONNECTING THE COMPUTERS

USB Installation

1.Connect the ServSwitch DT Pro II’s USB cable’s (EHN7002021-0006) USB connector to the PC1 USB port on the back of the ServSwitch. Connect the cable’s VGA connector to the ServSwitch unit’s PC1 VGA connector. See Figure 3-5.

2.Connect the cable’s male VGA and USB connectors to the corresponding connectors on the back of the computer.

3.Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all computers.

4.Power on your computers. Your computers’ operating systems should recognize the ServSwitch and will automatically install the USB driver if it was not already installed on your computers.

NOTE

On some computers, you must enable USB support on your system BIOS. Please refer to your computer manufacturer’s manual or the motherboard manual to verify that USB support is enabled.
