INTRODUCCIÓN

Paso 1: Planear la instalación

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

El sistema completo del tiro descendente consiste en el ventilador y la toma de aire (vea Fig. 1). El ventilador puede ser integral (montado sobre la toma de aire del ventilador en el gabinete abajo de la parrilla) o una unidad remota (montada en el techo o la pared exterior). Cuando se utiliza un ventilador remoto, se debe montar una transición de ducto en la toma de aire del ventilador en lugar del ventilador integral para conectar la toma de aire al ducto. Se debe comprar la transición por separado.

Se puede montar el ventilador integral o la transición del ducto en posiciones diferentes sobre la toma de aire para enrutar los ductos y evitar gabinetes, bastidores, otras conexiones de gas, luz, agua, etc.

El sistema del tiro descendente está disponible en modelos de 30 pulgadas y de 36 pulgadas. Está diseñado para ser utilizado con todas las marcas y modelos de parrillas residenciales eléctricas o de gas de 30 y de 36 pulgadas excepto con parrillas tipo profesionales.

A. Determinar si se va a utilizar un ventilador remoto o integral. La instalción de un ventilador remoto requiere 4 cables más un cable de tierra desde el tiro descendente al ventilador.

B. Asegurarse de proporcionar el espacio apropiado de gabinete y cubierta y que la toma de aire quede accesible por si se requiere dar servicio.

C. Considerar las corrientes cruzadas, creadas por ventanas o puertas abiertas.

D. Para instalaciones de parrillas de gas, asegurar una abertura mínima de

10 pulgadas cuadradas (64.5 cm2) en el área del panel de pie u otra área del gabinete. Una ventilación incorrecta del gabinete abajo de la parrilla puede provocar que se apaguen las llamas al operar el sistema de ventilación.

E.Proporcionar suministro de aire o ”aire necesario” al cuarto donde se va a instalar la unidad. Cuando no se proporciona el ”aire necesario”, entonces se pueden presentar problemas tal como corrientes descendientes del tiro de una chimenea.
