Si la sonda fue insertada correctamente en el canal auditivo durante el proceso completo de medición, un sonido indicará que ha finalizado la medición. El termómetro detecta que una medición exacta de la temperatura ha sido tomada. El resultado aparece en la pantalla (5).

Si toma la temperatura de otra persona, podrá observar la iluminación en la pantalla: «ExacTemp» (7) – Temperatura Exacta. Esta luz parpadea durante el proceso de medición, cuando la sonda está colocada de manera segura, y se ilumina completamente cuando el termómetro detecta que una medición exacta ha sido realizada.

4.Si la sonda no ha sido colocada en una posición estable en el canal auditivo, escuchará una secuencia de sonidos cortos, la luz «ExacTemp» se apagará y la pantalla mostrará un mensaje de error («POS» = posición incorrecta).

5.Para la siguiente medición, retire el protector higiénico (presione el botón de expulsión (4) y coloque un protector nuevo).

IRT 4020: Borre la pantalla presionando el botón de inicio «start».

IRT 4520: Borre la pantalla presionando el botón «I/O».

Espere la señal. Introduzca la sonda suavemente en el canal auditivo, presione el botón de inicio «start».

El termómetro Braun ThermoScan se apaga automáti- camente después de 60 segundos de inactividad.

El IRT 4520 puede ser también apagado presionando el botón «I/O» por lo menos durante 3 segundos. En la pantalla aparecerá «OFF» y al soltar el botón se borrará completamente.

Consejos para tomar la temperatura

•La temperatura puede variar según sea tomada en el oído izquierdo o derecho. En consecuencia, es recomendable tomar siempre la temperatura en el mismo oído.

•Para conseguir una medición precisa, asegúrese de que el oído está libre de obstrucciones o de acumulación de cera.
