OPERACIÓN

Comprobación del GFCI

Pruebe el enchufe del GFCI antes de cada uso como se indica a continuación:

•Pulse el botón “Test” (Prueba) negro. El botón “Reset” (Rearme) rojo debería saltar e impedir así que el enchufe reciba alimentación eléctrica. Utilice una lámpara de prueba en cada enchufe para comprobarlo.

PRECAUCIÓN

El botón “Reset” no salta o la lámpara de prueba se enciende cuando el botón “Reset” ha saltado.

•NO utilice ningún enchufe del circuito.

•Llame a un electricista cualificado.

•Si la prueba del GFCI es satisfactoria, restablezca la alimentación presionando firmemente el botón “Reset” hasta el fondo de forma que quede sujeto. Si el enchufe

GFCI no se rearma correctamente, no lo utilice. Llame o lleve el generador a un centro local de servicio.

•Si el GFCI salta por sí solo en cualquier momento, reármelo y pruebe el enchufe. Si el botón de rearme no salta al pulsar el botón de prueba, no utilice el enchufe. Llame o lleve el generador a un centro local de servicio.

JUEGO DE CABLES DEL ADAPTADOR DEL GENERADOR

El generador está equipado con un Juego de Cables del Adaptador del Generador de 25 pies, diseñado para un circuito neutro a tierra de 240 voltios, 30 Amperios (Figura 30).

La carga máxima en cada tomacorriente es de 15 Amperios. La carga máxima total tanto en el tomacorriente de cable amarillo como el tomacorriente de cable negro, es de 30 Amperios.

IMPORTANTE: La toma blocante del generador y el juego de cable adaptador incluido no están protegidos por un interruptor de circuito de fallo de conexión a tierra (GFCI). Si se utilizan en lugares de trabajo sujetos a la normativa OSHA, se deberán proteger con un GFCI adecuado.

NOTA: Siga todas las instrucciones de seguridad cuando conecte cualquier cable de extensión o aparato al generador.

CARGADOR DE BATERÍA

Utilice el enchufe hembra del cargador de flotación (carga lenta y continua) de la batería para mantener la batería de arranque cargada y preparada para el uso. La carga de la batería se debe realizar en un lugar seco, como el interior de un garaje.

1.Conecte el cargador al enchufe hembra "Battery Float Charger" (Cargador de flotación de la batería) de la unidad, que se encuentra en el interruptor de arranque (Figura 31). Enchufe el cargador de la batería a una toma de pared de 120 V CA.

2.Desconecte el cargador de la unidad y del enchufe de la pared durante el arranque del generador y mientras esté funcionando.

3.Mantenga el cargador enchufado cuando el generador no se esté utilizando, para prolongar la vida de la batería. El cargador incorpora un ecualizador de flotación que impide la sobrecarga de la batería, incluso aunque esté enchufado durante un largo periodo de tiempo.
